Privacy Policy
Who we are
Functional Athletes ("we", "us") makes a fitness education app and website. Questions: hello@getfunctionalathletes.com.
Website and Founding List
If you join the Founding List, your email address (and any name you choose to give) is collected through our email provider, Kit (ConvertKit), and used to send launch news and training content. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Kit may record whether emails are opened or links are clicked. We do not sell your information.
Links on this site may include campaign tags (UTM parameters) so we can see which channels people come from.
Your account
You sign in to the app with an email address and password. Sign-in is handled by Supabase Auth, part of our hosting provider, Supabase. We may add other sign-in options later (for example Sign in with Apple). If we do, this policy will describe them.
What the app stores
Synced online profile. To keep your plan tied to your account, a small profile is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider, Supabase. It contains:
- your user ID
- your training track and level
- how many days per week you plan to train
- whether you chose a low-impact start
- your answers to the setup quiz (not including height, weight or sex)
- when the profile was last updated
Stored only on your phone. Your workout logs and your height, weight and sex (if you enter them) are kept on your device only. They are never uploaded to our servers.
No tracking tools. The app has no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting tools.
Purchases
There are no payments in the app today. If paid features are offered in the future, purchases will be handled by Apple through your Apple ID, with subscription status managed through RevenueCat. We never receive or store your card details.
Age requirement
You must be 18 or older to use the Functional Athletes app. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
How long we keep information and deleting your account
We keep your account and synced profile until you delete your account. To delete it, go to Profile > Delete account in the app. This removes your login and your online profile. Data stored on your phone, such as workout logs, stays there until you remove the app. You can unsubscribe from the Founding List at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@getfunctionalathletes.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights, and we will honor them.
Health information
Functional Athletes is fitness education, not medical advice. The app is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose or treat any condition.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email.
